Youth Innovation Challenge

Fully Funded G7 Oceans Youth Innovation Challenge in Canada

Share your idea for a chance to attend the G7 Environment Ministerial Meetings in October!

On January 1, 2018, Canada assumed Presidency of the G7 group of industrialized countries. Canada’s presidency is orientated around 5 themes, one of which is “Working Together on Climate Change, Oceans and Clean Energy”. If you are 18-25 years old, have reached the age of majority in your country or province (Canada) and are a citizen of one of the G7 countries, we would like to hear your solutions to challenges facing global ocean health!

Calling all G7 young people aged 18 to 25: the world needs you and your creativity.

Are you from:

  • Canada
  • France
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • the United Kingdom
  • the United States

Do you have an idea to help solve one of the ocean-related challenges the G7 is working to address:

  • plastics
  • coasts
  • resilient communities
  • climate
  • clean energy
  • fish

Then send us your proposal and let’s get started.

Help us protect our oceans and improve the environment. You could win a trip to present your idea this fall!

  1. Read our Challenge rules and regulations.
  2. Post your two-minute video on Twitter outlining what can be done to address one of the problems listed above. Use #myoceans2050.
  3. Enter the Challenge.
