The United Nations is seeking an Archives Assistant to join the Archives and Records Management Section (ARMS) in the Facilities and Commercial Activities Service (FCAS) of the Department of Operational Support (DOS). The Archives Assistant will be responsible for facilitating the accession of non-current records, facilitating intellectual control over transferred records, and providing access to UN Archives to Member States, Staff, and the public at large.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in archives, records management, library science, or a related field. They will also have experience with accessioning, intellectual control, and access to archives. Fluency in English is required.
The Archives Assistant will be a member of the ARMS team and will report to the Information Management Officer. They will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and will have the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders.
