Assistant Director of Development position available at Kansas State University.
The University is looking for someone who is self-motivated, energetic, passionate about college athletics, enjoys meeting people and maintaining positive donor relationships, and solicit donations to support the Ahearn Fund and K-State Athletics. Key Responsibilities
- Manage large portfolio of major gift and annual fund prospects with the expectation to make 200 personal visits annually.
- Identify, manage, cultivate and solicit new and current prospects for gifts for the Ahearn Fund and K-State Athletics. Frequent travel within the state of Kansas and bordering states to cultivate and solicit gifts.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- One year of college athletics fundraising experience
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to promote and demonstrate respect, collaboration and friendly customer service in all working relationships and situations
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
- Must be able to travel as required
- Must have a valid driver’s license at all times
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of college athletics fundraising experience
- Experience working with and managing a portfolio of donors
- Experience fundraising in NCAA Div I athletics
