The Youth Vision Model United Nations (YVMUN) 2024 is an exciting opportunity for young minds eager to make a difference in global diplomacy. Set to take place from November 30 to December 1, 2024, YVMUN is the perfect platform for both university and school students to build diplomatic skills, develop innovative solutions, and connect with like-minded individuals.

Conference Overview

The YVMUN 2024 will feature a total of 60 delegates engaged in three diverse committees designed to stimulate critical thinking and complex negotiations on global topics. Participants will gain firsthand experience in discussing and proposing resolutions on pressing issues like economic diversification, electoral policies, and international security.

The event is fully online, making it accessible to students around the world, and costs only €6.00 per participant. Proceeds will support a flood relief campaign in Yemen, led by Qatar Charity, helping rebuild communities devastated by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Committees and Topics of YVMUN 2024

1. Economic and Financial Committee (ECOFIN)
   • Topic: Discussing dependency on oil and gas, fostering economic diversification, and promoting trade within and outside the Gulf region.
   • Focus: Understanding global economic dynamics and exploring strategies for sustainable growth.
2. Legal Committee
   • Topic: Discussing the issue of electoral bonds and political donation policies.
   • Focus: Deliberating transparency in political finance and the legal framework for fair elections.
3. Security Council (UNSC)
   • Topic: Promoting peace and stability in the Sahel region by addressing the root causes of conflict and supporting regional peace initiatives.
   • Focus: Finding diplomatic solutions to one of the world’s most pressing security challenges

  • Students with experience in Model United Nations or leadership roles can apply as Head Delegates.

• Observers
  • For those who want to witness the discussions and deliberations without actively participating, there is an option to join as an Observer.
  • Application Period: October 6, 2024, to November 25, 2024.
