Collide Residency Program 2025 in Switzerland & Denmark (Fully Funded)

Applications are open for the Collide Residency Program 2025, a fully funded two-month residency split between CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, and Copenhagen Contemporary in Denmark. This unique opportunity invites artists from all nationalities to collaborate with scientists and engineers while exploring the intersections of art, science, and technology. Participants will spend one month at each location, conducting research and engaging in meaningful conversations with experts to develop their creative proposals. The program welcomes innovative ideas that examine how advanced technologies and scientific discoveries influence modern culture and society. Designed for artists eager to push boundaries, the residency supports artistic exploration that integrates scientific and technological themes. Applicants must submit a detailed proposal outlining their vision. Through this immersive experience, participants will expand their understanding of science and technology, while contributing to a broader dialogue between artistic practice and scientific innovation.

Program Dates

  • Residency at CERN Switzerland: May 2025.
  • Residency at Copenhagen Denmark: June 2025.

Eligibility for Collide Residency Program

  • The Program is open to applicants from all countries.
  • Must be 18 or over 18 years old.
  • Artists with at least 5 years of professional artistic experience and a strong body of work.
  • Artists interested in the cultural significance of scientific research and technology.
  • Artists must be eager to engage with scientists, engineers, and staff at CERN and CC.
  • Artists capable of collaborative and interdisciplinary work.
  • Artists interested in CERN’s community, history, and narratives.
  • Artists whose work explores new models of social inquiry and the intersection of art, science, technology, and society.
