The National Business Book Award is an award presented to Canadian business authors. The award, presented every year since 1985, recognizes outstanding talent in Canadian business writing. The $30,000 award is determined by a panel of prominent individuals from the business and academic sectors. This year marks the 40th year of curating the conversation in Canadian business.
The National Business Book Award recognizes outstanding non-fiction writing on topics relevant to the Canadian business community. This annual award is open to Canadian citizens or landed immigrants who have written books published in English or French in Canada. Works by two authors or essay collections are eligible, as long as they are cohesive and integrated. Nominees for the award come from diverse backgrounds, including journalists, academics, business professionals, public sector workers, and writers. The prize honors the excellence of authors who contribute to the understanding of business issues in Canada through their written work.
