Bonn International Fellowships 2026 – Short-Term Research Visits to Germany

The Bonn International Fellowships invite outstanding international post-doctoral researchers and experienced faculty for fully funded short-term academic visits (up to 12 days) at the University of Bonn. This initiative aims to foster global research collaboration and enrich Bonn’s vibrant academic environment (Universität Bonn).

What the Fellowship Covers

• Daily stipend of €160 per day (includes arrival and departure days)
• Travel allowance based on country of origin
• Up to €500 to support event and outreach costs hosted by the fellowship’s academic host (Universität Bonn)

Who Can Apply

• International post-doctoral scholars and experienced faculty members working at universities or research institutes outside Germany
• Applicants must be formally invited by a University of Bonn faculty member
• Fellowship supports scholars across all disciplines, with preference for those from strategic partner universities (Opportunities for Youth, AGRI-WEB, Universität Bonn)
