Programme Overview

The Delfina Foundation in London, supported by its Network of Asia Pacific Patrons, invites artists based in Southeast Asia to apply for a fully-funded 12-week winter residency, running 6 January to 27 March 2026. This creative opportunity is devoted to independent, thematic research and artistic development during the Foundation’s “open” residency season.

Eligibility

Open to citizens or long-term residents currently living and working in one of these Southeast Asian countries:
Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam, Timor‑Leste .

Selected artists receive a comprehensive support package, including:

  • Return economy-class flight to London + UK airport transfers
  • Visa fee reimbursement (if required)
  • £40 per day living allowance
  • £1,000 materials budget
  • Local travel pass
  • Single bedroom at Delfina’s shared residence (on-the-move.org)

Programme Features

Residents will engage in:

  • Professional development: presentations, portfolio reviews, mentoring
  • Structured exchanges: studio visits, group critiques, informal gatherings
