 Overview

This programme is hosted by Tsinghua University in Beijing and is part of the global Amgen Scholars network. It invites outstanding undergraduate students to a summer research experience lasting typically 8-10 weeks, where each participant is assigned to a faculty mentor and engages in projects at the frontier of biomedical science.  Eligibility & Requirements

Applicants should meet the following:

• Be enrolled at an undergraduate university in the Asia region (or studying in Asia) and have completed at least one’s first year of undergrad by the start of the program.
• Not be graduating before the summer programme starts, and be prepared to return to undergraduate studies afterwards.
• Have strong academic records and a expressed interest in life sciences research.
• Be proficient in English. Some sites list minimum scores if not native English users.

• Fully funded: The programme covers summer session tuition, housing accommodation during the summer, and a meal allowance.
• Travel support: Round-trip airfare to Beijing is typically included.
