
Nominations are now open for the UN-Habitat Scroll of Honour Award 2026, one of the world’s most prestigious awards recognizing outstanding contributions to sustainable urban development, housing, and improving the quality of life in cities and communities. The award was established in 1989 and is presented annually by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).

Note: Self-nominations are not permitted. Individuals or organizations cannot nominate themselves or their own initiatives.
Following the nomination deadline, submissions will be reviewed by a UN-Habitat Selection Committee. Up to five winners will be recommended for final approval and recognized during the global observance of World Habitat Day 2026.
