Eligibility Criteria

To apply, applicants must:

• Be an international student requiring a Canadian study permit.
• Be in their final year of secondary/high school during the 2026–2027 academic year, or have graduated no earlier than June 2026.
• Begin undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in September 2027.
• Be nominated by their current secondary school.
• Demonstrate outstanding academic performance, creativity, leadership potential, and positive community impact.

Applicants already enrolled in post-secondary studies or starting university before September 2027 are not eligible.

How to Apply

There are three main steps to apply:

Step 1: School Nomination

Your secondary school must nominate you for the scholarship. Each eligible school may nominate one student per year.

• School nomination deadline: 9 October 2026

Step 2: Apply for Admission

Submit an application for admission to at least one undergraduate program at the University of Toronto.

• University admission deadline: 16 October 2026

Step 3: Complete the Pearson Scholarship Application

After receiving your school nomination and submitting your university application, you will receive a personalized link to complete the online Pearson Scholarship application.
