Academic Affairs Coordinator position is available at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law (Denver Law). This position reports to the Director of Registration and Records (Registrar) and works closely with the Registrar and the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, and enter course requests into scheduling databases in accordance with scheduling policies and curricular requirements.
- Also, coordinate with the directors of all SCOL programs regarding course scheduling (Legal Externship Program, Trial Advocacy Program, Clinical Programs, Graduate Legal Studies, etc.).
- Maintain and update the course schedule, including course cancellations and requests for room and other changes.
- Understand and help maintain and enforce academic requirements as directed by the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
- Moreover, update and maintain online course descriptions.
- Coordinate with central University departments as necessary (Registrar, Financial Aid, Human Resources, etc.).
- Create and distribute grading spreadsheets for adjunct faculty, assist with anonymous grade calculation, and ensure that their grades are accurately submitted to the Registrar’s Office by the grading deadline.
- Coordinate events such as the annual Adjunct Training session and Adjunct Appreciation events.
- In addition, maintain the SCOL Adjunct Handbook and Adjunct Faculty website.
- Create an inclusiveness environment for the adjunct faculty by managing timely communication materials.
- Coordinate and support academic affairs projects including ABA and AALS compliance work as well as assessment activities of the SCOL.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Furthermore, 2 years of administrative experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite programs (Powerpoint, Excel, and Word), as well as with other database programs.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Likewise, ability to process complex data.
- Also, ability to learn and understand relevant privacy laws and maintain confidential student and employment records.
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions and correspondence.
Preferred
- Previous work experience in an academic environment supporting programs and/or staff and faculty.
- Experience with public relations and communications.
- Similarly, experience with coordinating and planning events.
- Knowledge of Banner Student System.
