The Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) Oxford offers fully funded undergraduate and doctoral study opportunities at the University of Oxford for exceptional students from around the world. The Ellison Scholarship 2027 at University of Oxford (Fully Funded) programmes combine academic study with hands-on research and innovation, allowing scholars to work on projects addressing major global challenges in health, food security, climate change, artificial intelligence and robotics. Undergraduate Ellison Scholars also receive opportunities to undertake paid internships with EIT teams, while graduate scholars contribute directly to EIT-linked doctoral research projects.

Eligibility

Undergraduate Applicants

Applicants must:

• Have or be on track to obtain a secondary/high-school qualification accepted by the University of Oxford
• Meet the academic and English-language requirements for their chosen Oxford course
• Demonstrate academic excellence and intellectual curiosity
• Show alignment with EIT’s mission and one or more of its areas of focus
• Demonstrate qualities including innovation, collaboration, tenacity and integrity
• Be at least 18 years old by the end of their first academic year at Oxford 

The undergraduate programme is open to all Oxford undergraduate subjects, provided applicants can demonstrate how their studies could contribute to EIT’s research priorities. 

Graduate Applicants

The Graduate Ellison Scholars programme is for students pursuing full-time doctoral (DPhil/PhD) study at Oxford. Applicants must meet Oxford’s relevant entry requirements and demonstrate strong academic achievement, research experience, innovation and alignment with their chosen EIT research project. 

Application Procedure

For Undergraduate Ellison Scholars:

1. Check your eligibility and the requirements for your intended Oxford course.
2. Submit the Ellison Scholars online application during the EIT application period.
3. EIT reviews applications and selects semi-finalists.
4. Semi-finalists apply separately to their chosen course at the University of Oxford.
5. Candidates who receive an Oxford offer progress to the final EIT selection stage.
6. Successful candidates are selected as Ellison Scholars. 

For Graduate Ellison Scholars:

For the 2027 intake, applications are currently open for relevant doctoral projects, with the application deadline set for 1 December 2026 at 5:00 PM UK time. Applicants should identify a suitable EIT research area/project and complete the relevant application route. 

Important: The undergraduate application deadline for the 2027 intake was 31 July 2026, while the Graduate Ellison Scholars application for October 2027 entry is currently open.
