Free Online Course is available at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
The 6.00.2x is an introduction to using computation to understand real-world phenomena. The program will teach you how to use computation to accomplish a variety of goals and also, provides you with a brief introduction to a variety of topics in computational problem solving . Furthermore, this course is for students with some prior programming experience in Python and a rudimentary knowledge of computational complexity. You will spend a considerable amount of time writing programs to implement the concepts covered in the course. For instance, you will write a program that will simulate a robot vacuum cleaning a room or will model the population dynamics of viruses replicating and drug treatments in a patient’s body.
Unfortunately, learners from one or more of the following countries or regions will not be able to register for this course: Iran, Cuba and the Crimea region of Ukraine. While edX has sought licenses from the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to offer our courses to learners in these countries and regions, the licenses EdX have received are not broad enough to allow it to offer this course in all locations. EdX truly regrets that U.S. sanctions prevent it from offering all of our courses to everyone, no matter where they live.
6.00.1x or equivalent (some prior programming experience in Python and a rudimentary knowledge of computational complexity) is a prerequisite.
