The Cambodia International Debate & Public Speaking Championship Series (CamDEBATE) 2019 is calling for applications. CamDEBATE is an initiative of IDP Education, a world leader in international education and student placement services, in partnership with key institutions in Cambodia and internationally.

CamDEBATE aims to provide:

• a platform to support the development of problem solving, critical thinking and interpersonal skills among Cambodian students and young professionals
• also, an opportunity for individuals who wish to engage in debate and public speaking in English to increase their fluency and showcase their proficiency
• in addition, an opportunity to develop important skills that benefit participants’ academic journeys, personal development and career prospects
• an occasion to independently learn, research and form opinions on complex topics that will contribute to the development of well-rounded individuals
• furthermore, a networking opportunity for individuals from different backgrounds and nationalities

Benefits

The winners from both Senior High School & University and Young Professionals levels in the Public Speaking and Debate category will receive

• A fully-funded study tour trip to the UK for 2 weeks for the members of the winning team (includes an intensive English language program, flights, meals, accommodation, airport transfers upon arrival as well as departure, travel insurance and visa application fees)
• Also, a team trophy and an individual medal for each team member
• Champion Certificate
• Moreover, 1 year scholarship to study at ACE

Eligibility

For High School level,

• 15 years and above by the date of registration
• Are studying in high school at the time of registration

For University & Young Professionals,

• Below 25 years by the date of registration
• Are studying at the university at the time of registration
• Either currently employed or self-employed OR have successfully completed an undergraduate program in any field
