About position
The Vin University in Vietnam is seeking creative, qualified and expertise Information Officer to join the IT department of an institution. Generally, he/she will be responsible for leading all the IT related works in the university. She will deliver all technology-related capabilities, products, and services required to achieve stable IT operations and long-term business success.
Roles and responsibilities
- Lead the IT teams to operate, manage and also, to develop Information services across the university.
- Advises President and Provost to understand the needs of the University and to shape the digital issues.
- Collaborates with the IT divisions of Vingroup and Vinmec to assure compliance with Vingroup’s regulations regarding IT systems and security.
- Supervise the institutional information technology budgeting process. Similarly, provides leadership in cost and productivity analysis.
- Coordinates the identification and prioritization of required IT initiatives among the University’s various components. Especially, the health science components.
- Integrates and coordinates the development and implementation of IT programs across the University in order to achieve maximum institution-wide efficiencies and synergies.
- Provides guidance and counsel to the President and Provost in the examination and definition of objectives for existing and proposed information systems and for the design of improved systems.
Required qualifications and skills
- Masters degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or relevant field.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in a similar field.
- Deep technical ability as well as capacity to develop a clear vision and strategy for technology.
- Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, of best practices in IT policies and procedures, and of IT tools and techniques
- Background in designing and developing IT systems and also, in planning IT implementation at a university
- Excellent communication as well as interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with faculty, staff, and students as well as community groups of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
