Position: Lecturer of Nursing
Nevada State College is public college in Henderson, Nevada. It is one of the part of Nevada System in Higher Education. Roles and responsibilities
The successful appointee Nursing – Lecturer must perform the following duties
- Teach 30 credits per academic year under the faculty of Nursing. It amounts to 12-credit hours per semester for two semesters and six-credit hours for one semester.
- Similarly, teach upper-level courses in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in a variety of formats (e.g., in-person, hybrid, online)
- Serve on departmental and college-wide committees.
- Conduct required weekly office hours as well as student advising.
- Furthermore, engage in scholarly activity within your discipline or in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Required qualifications
- Masters of Science in Nursing or relevant field from a recognized academic institution. However, the Ph.D. qualification in the nursing or related subject is desirable.
- In addition to that, two years of direct patient care experience as well as one year of experience in nursing higher education.
Furthermore,
- Evidence of strong commitment to teaching, mentoring and working with undergraduate nursing students. Similarly, evidence of teaching excellence in nursing at the college/university level.
- Possession of, or eligibility for, an unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Nevada.
- Proof of creative activities consistent with a lecturer rank.
- Commitment to creating an academic environment that supports students while holding them accountable for meeting minimum expectations.
- Also, commitment to the promotion of Caring Science in every interaction with faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (oral as well as written) skills.
