About position

The Department of Sociology, Social Work and Anthropology at Utah State University is accepting an application for the position of Assistant Professor in Social Work.

In particular, the incumbent will perform the following duties

• Teach graduate and undergraduate social work courses linked to the requested areas of expertise (macro practice, community health, wellness and/or prevention) and to departmental need.
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate student
• Engage in research and scholarship as well as secure external funding to support research activities.
• Also, provide service to the department, college, and social work profession.
• Furthermore, complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Doctorate qualification (Ph.D. or DSW) in social work or a closely-related field at the time of appointment. In addition to that,  at least two years of post-MSW practice experience
• Teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate levels preferred.
