Providence Christian College is a private Christian liberal arts college in Pasadena, California. t is an independent, confessionally Reformed college with no formal denominational ties. In general, the college offers an only degree program, a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies.  The Providence Christian College library holds approximately 12,000 volumes and 100 periodical subscriptions, with student access to an additional 5,500 online periodicals (much full text), 2,500 electronic books, 52 other scholarly databases through online subscriptions. Before moving to California in August 2010, the college was in Ontario, Canada previously. The college is also a member of IAPCHE: the International Association for the Promotion of Christian Higher Education.

About position

In addition to reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Assistant Professor of Business Administration will be responsible for

• 5%) ~ Helping in the recruitment of incoming first-year students interested in Business, Economics, and Entrepreneurship.
• (80%) ~ Teaching a 4/4 undergraduate course load in the discipline. Courses to be taught include “Principles and Practice of Innovation,” “Financial Accounting,” “Managerial Accounting,” “Marketing,” “Finance,” “Principles of Management, Organization, and Communication,” “Strategic Management,” and “Non-profit Management.”
• (5-10%) Engaging in scholarly research leading to publication.
• (5-10%) Active participation in institutional service including serving on the Faculty Senate, one standing faculty committee, and participating in college-wide efforts to further the mission of the institution.

Minimum qualification

In order to be eligible for the position of Assistant Professor of Business Administration, the candidate must have the following qualifications

• At least an MBA or a Master’s degree in the discipline by the time of hire. In addition to that, at least three years of business work experience.
• Demonstrate excellent teaching and mentoring abilities.
• Must possess a collegial and winsome orientation in working within an entrepreneurial environment.
• Similarly, a desire to integrate faith and learning within the context of the study of Business, Economics, and Entrepreneurship.
