About the position

The Successful appointee in the Department of Psychiatry must be comfortable working with a dynamic team as well as patients from a diverse background. In addition to teaching, researches and other academic duties, the incumbent also need to serve communities and administration occasionally.

In particular, the Assistant Professor of Psychiatry will do the following duties

• Serve on department, institutional, and community-based committees.
• Provide supervision for residents and/or medical students.
• May serve a Course Director for undergraduate medical education courses.
• Undertake clinical responsibilities at Grady or other affiliated sites as assigned.
• Assist with resident recruitment, including interviewing candidates.
• Participate in faculty development programs to develop teaching and/or research skills.

Required qualifications

In order to be fit for the role, the candidate must have the following qualifications

• MD or Doctoral qualification in the relevant area. In addition to that, Georgia Medical License, as well as unrestricted DEA license, is the most.
• Completion of residency in General Psychiatry. Similarly, must possess board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Good interpersonal skills as well as a high level of professionalism.
