LabXchange: A Hybrid Accelerator for Student Research is an online platform for global science education that not only integrates the best of digital instruction and interactivity, but also connects students, teachers, and alumni in an online learning community for sharing and collaboration.
The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day office and financial operations, and will provide administrative support to the Managing Director. As the primary logistical contact for the LabXchange program, the Administrative Coordinator will act as a liaison to internal and external constituents and stakeholders. The Administrative Coordinator will also support the Managing Director in financial management of the grant as well as financial operations for the overall program. The responsibilities will include processing payments and preparing financial reports, and will require familiarity with Harvard financial policies and procedures. Lastly, the Administrative Coordinator will provide administrative support for the managing director, assisting with correspondence, the preparation of meeting materials, and other day-to-day operations. The position combines an understanding of academic settings, rigorous organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and solve problems under pressure, and the communications skills necessary to work with interconnected stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualification

3 or more years of related experience.

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Candidate must be proficient in using MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Harvard systems a plus.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail, writing skills, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision and creatively solve problems.
This position is for a 2-year term with the possibility of extension contingent on performance and funding.
