Position: Solution Manager (Hybrid Cloud)

Key responsibilities 

• The Infrastructure Services Solution Manager engages with the client and other key stakeholders, as appropriate to the level of solutions required, to understand the strategic priorities, business, and technical requirements, issues and tactical problems and to develop and articulate robust and innovative technical solutions.
• Review, as well as modify the solution, with the internal/external client and key stakeholders, to meet deal requirements and to close the deal for IBM.
• As a part of the sales team to develop and build project and managed services solutions for clients.
• Lead cross-geography, cross line of business teams of subject-matter experts in their respective domains. Leverage the full breadth of services, labor, assets, and software products to develop complex, multi-year solutions, as well as optimized cost cases that meet client requirements and needs considering the client’s base case and IBM’s profitability.
• Contribute to the overall success of the engagement pursuit and is the primary technical contact in an engagement.
• Furthermore, works in conjunction with the larger pursuit team (Sales, TSM, HR, C&N, Delivery, Pricing, Risk, etc.) to deliver a winning solution. The employee focuses on individual/team/department/ operational objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in the related field.
• Should have skills in Virtualization like Vmware & Redhat Virtualization, hybrid cloud, private cloud & hypervisor converged architectures (Vmware/vRealize and Red Hat OpenStack), public clouds like AWS, Azure & IBM and Redhat Openstack cloud tools, microservices & containers architectures on Public & private cloud and container orchestration using Kubernetes, DevOps with Redhat Openshift and Ansible Automation, software-defined data center, automation tools, various infra and application-level clustering solutions.
• In addition to that, s/he must have dealt with solutions related to security and disaster recovery on the cloud.
• Must have created solutions across multiple industry verticals. Should have exposure to Core applications ERP/SAP/Oracle etc. from a perspective of IaaS and PaaS on Cloud and legacy infrastructures.
• Similarly, experience with building solutions on Cloud technologies for client engagements with architecture, migration, and managing the hybrid cloud environments.
