Position: Full-time faculty position on Economics under the Department of Social Science

About Position

The Department of Social Science at the University of Ottawa is seeking tenure track position of Assistant rank in the field of Economics. The Faculty of Social Sciences comprises nine departments, schools, and institutes. It offers undergraduate, Masters and doctoral programs in both English and French.

The Assistant faculty-position at the University of Ottawa will perform the following duties in particular

• Conduct research and publishing activities.
• Teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels as well as supervise Masters and Ph.D. candidates.
• Participate in the University’s academic and administrative activities and also carry out other activities as specified in the collective agreement.
• Furthermore, perform any other duties as required.

Requirements

In order to be eligible for the role, candidates must have the following qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant field (candidates who are close to completing a Ph.D. could be considered). In addition to that, demonstrate excellence or the potential for excellence in teaching and research; and
• Similarly, strong publication and research track record in the field.
