Position: Assistant Professor of Dental Hygiene
Responsibilities
Generally, duties include involvement in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation; didactic instruction, coordination of multiple clinical sections and clinical education site. In addition to that, the position holder will be doing the following things
- Demonstrates commitment to contributing to CSIJ Department of Dental Hygiene Mission and vision.
- Contributes to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the dental hygiene curriculum. Similarly, participates in all aspects of teaching in a classroom and clinical settings.
- Demonstrates an integrated academic life, contributing to the teaching, and service missions.
- Serve on departmental, school, and university committees as necessary, as well as participate in professional activities.
- Maintains a commitment to serving the school of department of dental hygiene, university, profession, and community.
- Furthermore, engage faculty, students, and staff to foster a diverse community at CSU.
Requirements
In order to be eligible for the role, the candidates must have the following qualifications
- Masters in Dental Hygiene or other Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in dental hygiene related areas. However, Doctoral degree (Ed.D, PH.D., DDS, DMD) preferred.
- Currently licensed as a dental hygienist or dentist. In addition to that, teaching experience in a dental hygiene program strongly preferred.
- Experience in a dental hygiene practice.
- Furthermore, the candidate needs to undergo a criminal background check.
