Position: Thoracic Surgeon

Position summary

The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine seeks qualified Thoracic Surgeon. S/he will have to do the following duties at the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

• Providing patient care in multiple aspects of adult non-cardiac thoracic surgery.
• Participation in research programs as well as teaching residents, and medical students, and physician extenders.
• Demonstrating professional competence and activity.
• Performing University and public service.

Requirements

The Candidates must have the following qualification to do the Jobs of Thoracic Surgeon at the University of California Irvine

• Graduate of a certified residency program in thoracic surgery. In addition to that, training and expertise in lung cancer surgery preferred
• Candidates with minimally invasive surgical experience, especially robotic thoracic surgery are encouraged to apply.
• An M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. is mandatory for all applicants.
• Board certification or board eligibility in cardiothoracic surgery as well as California Medical License.
• Furthermore, strong interest and demonstrated abilities in delivering patient care in an academic clinical setting.
