Position: Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts/Production Management at the Department of Arts & Humanities

Responsibilities 

The Theatre Program at Stockton University is seeking applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts/Production Management in support of its Liberal Arts BA Performing Arts program for Spring 2020. The position will do the following duties in particular

• Teach at least 3 courses in Theatre and the Liberal Arts.
• Mentor students as well as serve as Production Manager for the Theatre program.
• Help lead design and production elements of the season including stage management and technical theatre tasks.
• Facilitate producer tasks as well as collaborate with the Performing Arts faculty.
• Lead public relations, utilizing digital and traditional methods to communicate effectively with current students and prospective students, as well as alumni and the community.
• Be a conduit between the Stockton Theatre faculty and Stockton Technical Director.
• Help to build a strong organizational theatre production program, including the use of digital arts to organize and structure the program.
• The ability to support Stockton University’s diversity commitment and strong student-centered vision and mission.

Responsibilities 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications

• Master’s Degree (M.A., etc.) in Theater-related field, in hand at the time of appointment. In addition to that, past professional experience as a production manager.
• Demonstrated abilities and past professional experience in helping to manage/produce a Performing Arts Program’s production season.
• Similarly, demonstrated abilities and past professional experience in a diverse range of technical theatre arts.
