The applications for the We art Water Film Festival have opened.

The We Art Water Film Festival is an international short-film competition organized by the We Are Water Foundation, which aims to recognize and reward the talent of all those people with a clear awareness of the water problem around the world which is also able to capture it in their own film productions.

Moreover, the main objective is to raise awareness of the water problem around the world through the creation of audiovisual pieces that address this issue.

The categories of the We Art Water Film Festival are

• Micro-documentary, Micro-fiction, and Micro-animation

Awards

The winners of the We Art Water Film Festival will receive the following prizes

• Micro-documentary- €3000, Micro-fiction- €3000 as well as Micro-animation-€3000
• Also, Audience Award- €1000

Requirements

• All short films need to address the topics: Climate Crisis, water, and sustainability, linking it to the global problem of water and sanitation and its relation to hygiene, pollution, agriculture, diseases, nutrition, education, etc.
• Additionally, the short films must have a duration of one to three minutes (excluding official title cards at the beginning and end).
• Also, audio or texts that form part of the works must be in English or subtitled in English.
• Similarly, they must start and end with the official title cards
• Furthermore, the applications must be submitted between 3 October 2019 and 2 April 2020

Eligibility Criteria

Any individual of legal age and of any nationality wishing to contribute to the dissemination of the message of the We Art Water foundation can participate in the program.
