Adelaide Business School announces the vacancy opening for the faculty position at the University Department of Accounting. The incumbent will have the capacity to inspire staff, advance excellence in research and teaching and enhance the reputation and profile of the Adelaide Business School. The faculty expects the position to play a critical role in providing a motivating and high-achieving learning environment in Accounting at the University of Adelaide Business School. Role 

The incumbent provides academic leadership within the field, encompassing the ability to coordinate an interdisciplinary approach to research and to engage with several research domains across the University as well as work closely with industry partners. In addition to that, the Faculty position will be engaging in research and publishing in leading international journals and other esteemed scholarly outlets and will have a proven track record in attracting grant income.  Similarly, s/he will contribute to excellence in teaching and research, ensure high-quality student graduates, enable research outputs that have national and international impact and lead discipline-based collaborative engagement.

Furthermore, the Assistant Professor will also lead and encourage an environment of creativity and innovation in the Accounting area, and engage with the broader academic and professional community, to promote and enhance the national and international profile of the Discipline, School, and the University.

Requirements 

• A doctoral qualification or equivalent in Accounting or closely related field.
• A strong internationally recognized track record in premier international journals across the Accounting discipline.
• Similarly, a demonstrated track record of attracting competitive research funding through multiple avenues, and successful project completion and impactful outcomes.
• Proven track record of building research teams and mentoring more junior academics across disciplines.
• Furthermore, a proven track record of excellence in teaching across the Accounting discipline.
