Vacancy at Norwegian Refugee Council at Burkina Faso and Niger. The Norwegian Refugee Council invites the prominent, dynamic and energetic candidate to undertake the role of Education Specialist in Burkina Faso and Niger. The position holder will report to the CD and be part of the country management group.

Key Responsibilities 

The Education Specialist will be performing the following duties

• Developing Education strategy, technical guidance, and Macro LFA.
• Compliance with and adherence to NRC policies, guidance, and procedures.
• Contributing to fundraising, develop and revise funding proposals, budgets, and donor reports. Also, identifying trends technical standards and donor priorities.
• Follow up on compliance with contractual commitments within Education as well as ensuring high technical quality and synergies in project implementation.
• Providing technical direction and project implementation support. Similarly, providing systematic training and build the capacity of Education staff.
• Ensuring that key learnings are extracted from Education implementation, and incorporate them in the
• Education program and staff development processes.
• Representing the NRC in relevant forums/clusters, including with national authorities and donors.
• Furthermore, promoting the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.

Requirements 

The ideal candidate of this Vacancy at the Norwegian Refugee Council will have

• At least four years of experience within the technical expertise area in a humanitarian / recovery context.
• Similarly, experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
• Core competency expertise
• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities as well as knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
• Valid driver’s license
• Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal is mandatory for this position.
