- Clark University’s Graduate School of Management seeks to fill the position of International Career Services Manager.
- Additionally, the successful candidate will design and manage the career professional preparation activities for the international graduate students in the GSOM, Stevenish Career Management Center.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will do the following duties
- Design and deliver professional preparation classes for international students in GSOM, including individual advising, assessment, and feedback
- Also, prepare, coach, and advise the first-year international students on their career exploration and the process of searching and applying for internships.
- Additionally, provide updated presentations on topics such as the international student job market, employer recruiting activities, and strategies in relevant global markets.
- Also, provide advising services to second-year graduate students searching, applying and interviewing for jobs in the U.S. and abroad.
- Similarly, develop and maintain a network of alumni, particularly among international students, in support of institutional objectives.
- Additionally, provide input on the design, planning, and execution of comprehensive career programming offered by GSOM
- Moreover, contribute to the promotion and engagement of students in career education programming and liaise with other University offices to facilitate the cross-posting of opportunities.
- Also, create relevant career development materials and communications for internal and external events, as well as internship and job opportunities among GSOM students, alumni, and friends using varied social media outlets.
- Furthermore, provide support to the Associate Director of Career Services with employer outreach and employer relations and overall programming.
Qualifications
The candidates must have the following qualifications-Vacancy for Manager at Clark University
- Master’s degree in relevant field required; business-related degree and professional business experience preferred in one of the primary GSOM areas of finance, accounting, marketing analytics, or management
- Along with that, 3-5 years of relevant experience required.
- Also, experience in career preparation and/or experiential learning with students; demonstrated ability to think and operate strategically, particularly in the development of programs, networks, and relationships
- Additionally, experience with career exploration and/or development, curriculum design and development experience, and/or proven training or teaching experience
- Likewise, a solid understanding of international student employment requirements (OPT, CPT), strong cultural awareness and cross-cultural communication skills
- Also, familiarity with international student employment market; jobs and internships
- Moreover, excellent interpersonal skills and capability to interact effectively with all relevant constituencies
