Interaction, the largest alliance of INGOs and international call entries for Interaction Annual Photo Contest 2020. InterAction invites photographers to submit their most powerful photos that illustrate innovative, effective and inspiring efforts in international relief and development. The organizer particularly encourages entries of examples of self-reliance, innovative technology, shared values, partnerships, and delivery of humanitarian assistance but however, this contest does not have any limitation only to choose particular categories. Furthermore, all the work and content on the image must be of out the territory of the United States of America.

Awards and Prize 

• One lucky winner of the contest will have an opportunity to receive a cash prize of $1,000. In addition to that, the award-winning photo will have an opportunity to participate at InterAction’s 2020 Forum, April 22-23 in Washington, D.C.
• Three runners up will get a cash prize of $100 USD. Similarly, the organizer will display their pictures in an online gallery on InterAction’s website.
• Furthermore, the InterAction will also publish the work of six honorable mentions on their official website.

Rules and Regulations 

• Anyone can submit their entries for InterAction Annual Photo Contest 2020. But however, the current InterAction employees cannot participate in this contest.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and should agree to abide by all the rules and regulations.
• One candidate can only submit up to three photos per person and the photos should be 300 dpi, or larger, at a size no smaller than 1920 x 1080 pixels.
• The file name must be in the following format: IA_Photographer’s First Name_Photographer’s Last Name_Photo Title.
• Furthermore, all entrants must hold the copyright to the photographs they submit and, by entering, are claiming such ownership.

Evaluation Criteria 

A panel of photographers, photojournalists, and subject area experts will choose the winning photographs. In particular, the judging panel will make their decisions depending on things like

• Photocomposition, technique, and clarity.
• Relevance to contest rules (documentarian humanitarian/development work outside of the U.S.).
• Adherence to copyright and permission rules.
