- The Project Director (PD) will serve as the grantee’s first point of interface with Unitaid on both routine and strategic matters.

Responsibilities
The incumbent will do the following duties
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure the programmatic, technical and financial integrity of IPTi project and to achieve rapid and sustained project goals, objectives and targets
- Additionally, Provide oversight of project activities to achieve the stated objectives
- Also, lead and participate in the project management team that will review project implementation and make course corrections as needed
- Work closely with all consortium partners, including building relationships and monitoring partner deliverables in line with respective scopes of work
- Furthermore, Develop and maintain strong working relationships and alliances with UNITAID, target country’s Ministries of Health.
- Also, Represent Jhpiego’s interests and present progress, achievements and lessons learned to key target country stakeholders, UNITAID and implementing partners in public and professional circles through meetings, conferences, and presentations
- Moreover, Provide technical leadership in the design, analysis, and synthesis of interventions.
Qualifications
The incumbent must meet the following qualifications for Vacancy for Project Director at Jhpiego in the USA
- Advanced degree in public health, health administration, international health or related field
- Additionally, 15+ years of progressively responsible international public health management experience or an equivalent of advanced education and experience could be considered
- Previous experience serving as Project Director or higher (COP, DCOP) including managing large, multi-year international health sector development projects
- Similarly, strong knowledge of malaria programming, especially chemoprevention-
- Strong knowledge of the most up to date WHO guidance and experience managing malaria programs across countries
- Also, Stellar verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary, multicultural teams;
- Furthermore, Excellent existing relationships with WHO, Global Malaria Program, Unicef, PMI, Global Fund and other global partners supporting malaria programming.
- Moreover, Demonstrated experience and knowledge in establishing project systems, processes and overseeing project start-ups.
