Responsibilities
The candidate will do the following duties
- Provide technical expertise to integrate durable solutions into DFID’s humanitarian responses including mainstreaming the wider UK’s 2017 humanitarian reform policy and its protracted crisis approach, preferably with a focus on livelihoods, private sector development, financial inclusion, and support to markets.
- Additionally, support evidencing and dissemination of good practice, opportunities, and challenges in the implementation of protracted crisis approaches in humanitarian programs and responses by DFID country offices.
- Also, provide technical support to DFID’s priority countries. Also, support the development of a set of tools and operational guidance on livelihoods and markets in conflict and crises.
- Furthermore, the candidate supports DFID with the review, design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of protracted crisis approaches and programs.
Qualifications

- Degree level or equivalent qualification in a related subject.
- Additionally, significant relevant senior humanitarian work experience in humanitarian settings, including at the country level.
- Also, experience with development-oriented organizations, as well as with private sector engagement, financial inclusion, value chains, and durable solutions in crisis and conflict settings.
- Furthermore, experience in the development of humanitarian training and tools, as well as facilitation experience.
