Duties
The incumbent will do the following duties
- Author articles other materials, as appropriate.
- Additionally, oversee and execute the development of clear, informative written material in support of NSPC communications strategies.
- Ensure that all communications meet University standards and are ready for publication.
- Moreover, manage and coordinate the work of center staff, including policy analysts, writers, and student researchers.
- Likewise, manage in-house and external publications, including press releases, profiles and articles. Consult with staff, faculty, and outside sources as necessary to ensure accuracy.
- Similarly, he/she may assume duties related to the administrative oversight of the organization, including a budget, staff, and other resource management.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
The incumbent should meet the given criteria for the Vacancy for Policy Writer at University of Virginia
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Additionally, at least three years of related work experience
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Furthermore, the ability to collaboratively work with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders
