Applications call for Google Africa Developer Scholarship 2020
The Google Africa Developer Scholarship Program is the joint initiative of Grow with Google, Andela, and Pluralsight. The program provides a new program to support software developers in Africa on Android, Google Cloud, and Mobile Web skills development tracks. The aim of this program is to continuously engage with aspiring and existing developers to help them become professional developers with skills that will provide them opportunities after the program.
The Google Africa Developer Scholarship (GADS) program gives candidates free access to Pluralsight course content plus support from the Andela Learning Community in their chosen skills development track. After completing their desired track, candidates may be eligible to receive a Google certification grant to take Google’s Associate Android Developer or Associate Cloud Engineer certification exams. Mobile web learners will not be eligible for certification.
This is an opportunity to become a world-class Android developer with Pluralsight. These curated courses will help candidates develop key Android skills and prepare for Google’s Associate Android Developer Certification exam.
In order to participate in the Google Africa Certification Scholarship program; candidates must be at least 18 years of age and be a resident of a country in Africa. Applicants will be prioritized for advancement based on onboarding survey completion, the amount of Pluralsight content consumed, and other target demographics.
