In partnership with the Global Citizen, the HGEM Innovation Challenge Southeast Asia II, organized by the Harvard Undergraduate Global Education Movement, will bring together over 200 delegates from different backgrounds and multiple speakers for a 3-day virtual conference, happening on January 15th – January 17th, 2021.
The HGEM Innovation Challenge SEA II will focus on two tracks centered on the Youth Empowerment and Sustainability & Climate Action to guide delegates through the different aspects of international development and to help them understand their role as citizens of the world.
Delegates will choose to join one of these tracks and then engage in track-specific discussions and seminar sessions featuring influential leaders from academia, business, and government. Throughout the virtual event, delegates will also have the opportunity to form meaningful relationships with other conference attendees from all over Southeast Asia.
Applications call for SEKI-Food Conference 2021
Considering that the number of detected COVID-19 cases is growing and following guidelines towards minimizing the virus spread and its impact the Organising & Scientific Committee of the ISEKI-Food 2020 conference has agreed to postpone the ISEKI-Food conference from 8 – 10 July 2020 to 23 – 25 June 2021.
The ISEKI-Food Association (European Association for Integrating Food Science and Engineering Knowledge Into the Food Chain) and the Cyprus University of Technology is organizing the 6th International ISEKI-Food Conference (ISEKI-Food 2021) to be held in Nicosia, Cyprus, 23-25 June 2021. This conference aims to promote a wide and constructive discussion on the current status and achievements of the SDGs.

The “Youth4Climate: Driving Ambition” special event is being held ahead of the 26th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 26) to the UNFCCC, which is taking place from 1-12 November 2021, in Glasgow, UK. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the award program and its efforts to demonstrate that climate action is underway around the world.

The 2021 Exchange Program in Thailand is YSEALI Smart Cities Regional Workshop are going to be a “Hybrid Program” which combine online session and in-person activities. They compile 50 participants who are between the ages of 20-35 and are registered YSEALI network members from all ASEAN member nations also as Timor-Leste. This workshop aims to reinforce participants’ knowledge of smart cities also on explore the way to involve civil society and little and medium enterprises (SMEs) in smart city development within the region.
The purpose of “YSEALI Smart Cities Regional Workshop” is to expand participants’ understanding of opportunities and risks of smart cities, also on learn from best practices round the world. the last word aim is to foster a robust network among participants and to encourage greater involvement from young leaders, civil society, and SMEs in smart city development, while increasing capacity of future leaders to develop sustainable solutions to urbanization challenges within the region, using digital and other tools.
