Every year Wellcome Trust funds graduates as well as undergraduate students to pursue their academic course and researchers. This year as well, Wellcome Trust calls applications for Four-year PhD Studentships in Science,  the trust will continue recruiting PhD researchers up to the year 2024.  This scheme offers graduates outstanding training in scientific research. The studentship may also be a part-time basis.

The Wellcome Trust is a charitable foundation focused on health research based in London, in the United Kingdom. It had a financial endowment of £29.1 billion in 2020, making it the fourth wealthiest charitable foundation in the world. In 2012, the Wellcome Trust was described by the Financial Times as the United Kingdom’s largest provider of non-governmental funding for scientific research, and one of the largest providers in the world. According to their annual report, the Wellcome Trust spent GBP £1.1Bn on charitable activities across their 2019/2020 financial year.

Eligibility

• Candidates can apply for a studentship on one of Wellcome’s four-year programmes if they’re a graduate or student who has, or expects to obtain, a degree (or equivalent for EU and overseas candidates) in a relevant subject.
• Candidates with other relevant qualifications or research experience may also be eligible.
