Elias Hailemariam is a BSC graduate in Information Technology from, Addis Ababa Institute of Technology (AAiT) of Addis Ababa University. After graduation, he worked as a System and Network Administrator for a private IT company. During his years of school, Elias was involved in different extracurricular activities at his university. He served his institute’s student council from finance head to Acting President positions. He also served the students union of Addis Ababa University as an Academic affairs head, Ambassador and as a Vice president. During his time on the AAU Campus, Elias served the students well and he stood for the benefit of students. He also worked as part of the Local Executive committee for the First African Engineering Deans Council Summit, the IEEE AFRI-CON 2015 summit, the organizing committee for the First and Second African Engineering Education Students forum. Elias has experience in events planning and organization, community and social works and Information Technology. He is also interested in Entrepreneurship and customer care and services. He thinks in positive thoughts, experiencing things and equipping others in education and different soft skills. He likes connecting with people, swimming, and traveling. Elias is currently working with Ohio University, School of Journalism in administering the YALI Connect Camps in Addis Ababa, Elias is also working on a startup company in Events Management and Information Technology and he recently won the Best Team Award on the Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp (GEB 2018) on January held in Bangkok, Thailand and is serving us a Country Representative.
