Jonathan is an ambitious and self-motivated young man; he has initiated and has run a number of initiatives connecting people to create sustainable change in Burundi, most of which have expanded in other countries. Mentorship, in order to raise like-minded actors to contribute in adding value to their community, has been in the core of his operations. Growing up in a community torn by civil war, social stigma, and poverty, Jonathan experienced the struggle in developing the community in such conditions.

Jonathan is using his experience and story to reach out to young people dealing with almost similar issues to undertake transformative actions, create and/or scale sustainable solutions to local and global challenges.
Over the course of the past 4 years, Jonathan has spoken to over 7000 young people in Rwanda, Uganda, Eastern Congo, and Burundi; Nurturing pioneers of positive. Jonathan currently consults with All Trust Consult, Synergia Training Firm, and AspireOne Mentorship. He has volunteered with Generating Opportunities for Burundi and has been an SDG Coordinator and Burundi Country Representative with UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, with the mandates to empower youth globally to create sustainable solutions around the SDGs.

Jonathan has formed partnerships, as the UNSDSN SDG Coordinator, with organizations such as World Merit Burundi, Burundi Climate Action, Light University of Bujumbura, E-Isoko.com, Young African Leaders Initiative to advance the SDGs agenda. He is natively from Congo (DR), a team player, with acute problem-solving skills as well as high abilities to create and work in multi-cultural settings.
