The New York Photography Awards categories consist of New York Photography, Architecture Photography, Commercial Photography, Editorial Photography, Fine Art Photography, Nature Photography, People Photography, Black & White Photography, Covid-19 Related Photography, and other special categories, such as Event Photography, Mobile Photography, Film Photography, etc.

Photography is an art form, with a combination of creative dispositions and underlying afternotes. Therefore, it encourages all photographers, from amateurs to professionals, to express themselves through image, and rekindle sparks of the forgotten past with their everlasting visual arts. Eligibility

• The New York Photography Awards is open to anyone aged 18 and above residing anywhere in the world. The entries are open to professional, amateur, and student photographers on a global level, where New York Photography Awards invite amazing photographers such as yourselves to enter and become a part of the awards family.
• All forms of photography taken up to 5 years from 2016, from commissioned, published, unpublished, and personal work, from professional and photography aficionados are eligible.

Judging Criteria

• Originality (Uniqueness of Concept/Expression of Theme)
• Creativity (Storytelling/Mood)
• Technical Execution (Composition, Color, Lighting, Exposure & Focus)
• Subject Matter/ Relevancy to Category Topic

Prizes

• NY Photographer of the Year (Professional) will receive the NY Awards statuette and a cash prize of $3,000.
• NY Photographer of the Year (Student/Amateur) will receive the NY Awards statuette and a cash prize of $3,000.
• Category Winners (10 Professionals & 10 Amateur/Students) will receive a $100 cash prize each.
