The wide variety of resources and the development in Southeast Asia, especially those in ASEAN, needs to be more developed and well implemented by the people as well as the system which functions in it. From various values incorporated by ASEAN citizens, a wide range of identity could embody perception, from the close range of level to engage with respecting stakeholders, our event, AYIC, can support and build a door that can be seized without marginalized or overlooked to multiple particular groups.

ASEAN Youth Initiative Conference roots of action goes back to the creation of the ideology of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which are designed and created to improve and resolve the preceding problems that are happening in the present. This event is determined to act as a platform where youth can share their perspective and insight. Youth delegates are expected to acquire a better understanding of their role as the future leaders and help to break the chain of world’s problems. By bringing out the Sustainable Development Goals as the main issue, the Action Plan on SDGs should be built upon under the consent of all delegates of ASEAN Youth Initiative Conference.

The ASEAN Youth Initiative Conference would like to invite youth enthusiasts to discuss some specific issues from the SDGs point of view. This event hopes to bring further elaboration in regards to delegate’s ideas to their plans that are needed for achieving the goals in Sustainable Development Goals. We strongly believe that global youth needs a platform where they can share their insights about the proceeding problems, especially a platform where everyone can share and unite their opinion to form the most applicable resolution. With these hopes, AYIC was created to be a platform to meet, discuss, and initiate ASEAN issues through the perspective of SDGs. This conference started first in 2016 and this year, the sixth AYIC will bring new experience and challenges along with the history of Bandung as the City of Diplomacy.
