Become a part of the European Conference on the Impact of AI and Robotics (ECIAIR 2022) this 2022 virtually!
For the 4th edition of the ECLAIR conference, the conference will run as a fully virtual event. The virtual conference will take place using Zoom and be an opportunity to meet participants from around the globe, listen to important keynote presentations, and take part in workshops and networking sessions.
The motivation to launch the European Conference on the Impact of AI and Robotics (ECIAIR 2022) came about as a result of the maturing of artificial intelligence and robotics, particularly of the cognitive computing kind, which is producing an unprecedented revolution in the role of work and professionals in society.
This Conference aims to focus not so much on the technology itself, but rather its consequence on knowledge work and society. ECAIR are looking for research with:
- a broad set of approaches from the future of the professions
- through knowledge networks enabled by cognitive computing and other technologies
- education issues
- Also, collaborative robots
- ever-more autonomous machines and their relationship with humans
- In addition, whether we will need to demand ethical or at least acceptable social behaviors on the part of machines
- considerations on assigning personhood to machines
- Moreover, to name a few topics.
The ECIAIR will develop into a key forum where natural scientists, social scientists, and philosophers come together to envision the future of society in the context of advanced AI and Robotics, to keep progress in balance with the meaning of life and the destiny of humankind.
Moreover, the conference also welcomes contributions from philosophers reflecting on the ethical dimension of AI and the balance between science and conscience.

Conference Publications
Papers accepted for the ECIAIR after the double-blind peer-review process will be published in the conference proceedings, subject to author registration and payment. The conference proceedings will have an ISSN and assigned an ISBN on publication. Additionally, papers that have been presented at the conference will also be considered for further development and possible publication in the journals listed below.
Journal editors are provided with the conference proceedings and will make selections if they feel work is appropriate and of sufficient quality for the journal. If invited to publish in a journal authors will be expected to develop the work by 40-50%, including a change of title as well as abstract. Individual journal procedures will need to be followed and there is no guarantee of publication.
