Ahmed Mohamed Amin was born and raised in Mogadishu, the capital city of Somalia. Ahmed is a social activist, trainer, blogger, aid worker, storyteller, and motivator. He is also the current chair of Community Services Committee for Read for Life organization based in Mogadishu and the Co-founder of Sahmiye, a youth-led Organization which focuses on helping the Somali community to get better solutions for their problems. Ahmed is now a senior student at the City University of Mogadishu, studying bachelors’ degree in Political Science majoring in International Relations.
Ahmed believes that education is key to reaching Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Somalia and the Horn of Africa. He is very passionate about reducing the high illiteracy rate among the population in Mogadishu and other regions of Somalia to make a positive change in the community.
