Hani is a young entrepreneur who is passionate about driving change in the MENA region through education, entrepreneurship and Internet Governance. Despite his young age, he has been a fellow for various leadership academies all over the world. He had represented Yemen in a Social Entrepreneurship summer-course in University of Connecticut in 2014. Moreover, he was named as an Ashoka Youth fellow advocating for education in Yemen. Lately, he was chosen as the first Middle East Scholar at Watson University, Colorado to study entrepreneurship thoroughly.
On the other hand, Hani is considered to be one of the youngest advocates working on Internet Governance in the region, as he has collaborated in different Internet Governance and Policies in the region, including being the youngest delegate in the Third Arab Internet Governance Forum held in Lebanon.
Currently, he is working on a couple of business ideas developing competition and innovation in Yemen. He is also a creative writer who finished writing his first book concerned about travels, entrepreneurship and his personal reflections.
As I believe in the profound significance of education for the entire society, I initiated “Teach to Reach” a unique educational initiative partnering with Ashoka. This venture tries to reduce illiteracy among the Yemeni poorest students via empowering them with practical skills, so that they can work while they study simultaneously, considering them as an asset for the community rather than hurdles.
Also, I write about entrepreneurship and how to reach to your goals overcoming all difficult situations using Internet as a source; especially the circumstances I am facing being a Yemeni who has fled from his country due to the war and harsh situations.
