Huang Wei-Chieh (Steve) is an eighteen-year-old outgoing student, currently studying Business (Major: Integrated Bachelor of Business Administration)at Chinese University of Hong Kong. He loves challenging himself and wants to walk out of his comfort zone. That’s the reason why he is studying outside of his home town-Taiwan and went to Hong Kong.
Mr. Huang loves interacting with different backgrounds of people. He can learn distinctive cultures and complex languages, getting connect to the world. On top of that, he considers himself as a responsible person.
Back to his high school life, Mr. Steve participated in several voluntary programs such as Environmental Volunteer and Student Ambassador Program and has gained a lot of precious experience from them, learning how to deal with conflictions and cooperate with others smoothly, which makes him mature ever since.
Mr. Steve has also served as a leader in several group competitions, which honed his high EQ, problem-solving capabilities and public speaking skills. Mr. Huang Wei-Chieh adds “All in all, I am ready to the challenges of the OYA Ambassador program!”
I think I will participate in International voluntary work, go to developing countries and devote myself to improving their daily life, helping them build basic infrastructure and accompany with them. Moreover, I can also take part in global NGO program or some charities, organizing events which raises attention to difficulties in developing countries or raising funds for them. Not only this, I will donate part of my allowance to charities, making the world a better place!
Most important of all, I will have a passionate heart of actively caring global issues. Realizing what situations and challenges they are facing in developing countries is also a good way to cherish our already prosperous lives and be much more willing to lend a helping hand. Above all are the methods I will do to motivate the youths living in developing world!
