Julencia Slamet, from Suriname, is a student at Scholengemeenschap Nickerie, Vwo and will graduate in summer 2019. She’s a finalist of the Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange and study program and has spent one year in the United States studying and sharing her culture there. During her Exchange year, she did many different volunteer projects. She was part of Keyclub, Deca, and FFA. She was also a student coach for the Special Olympics team. At the end of her exchange year, Julencia got the certificate of completing more than 100 hours of community service.

Furthermore, Julencia loves reading, traveling, and meeting new people. Her goal is to become a successful business manager one day.
