Muhammad Ahad Butt is a Global Space Ambassador and has been fascinated by the concept of Space Exploration most of his life. He has given many talks at National and International Conferences such as the International Space Development Conference (ISDC), where he was the youngest speaker. Also, he was selected by the National Space Society (NSS) as the top ten Space Ambassadors from the world, as a part of its Space Ambassador Program.
Mr. Muhammad has actively taken part in Physics/Astrophysics Research projects from his early High School years and recently represented Pakistan at the International Young Physicists Tournament (IYPT). He has also represented Pakistan at other Science Olympiads such as International Olympiad of Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA). He adds, "I love discussing innovative and futuristic ideas to solve everyday problems.”
Mr. Muhammad has also been awarded Young Leader's Associate Fellowship Award by Queen Elizabeth of the Royal Commonwealth Society for playing an influential role in society.
I believe it is vital that youth living in developing countries get a chance to explore and discover their interests and passions. Being a "space" enthusiast myself, I have held outreach initiatives at Schools, given talks to convey my excitement and provided other students a platform through which they could get more involved if they are interested in Space Sciences.
In addition, I believe that public speaking is one particular activity I encourage. Forms of public speaking teach the youth how to become independent thinkers, stand firm on their opinion and play a leadership role in society.
