Sammy Thiong'o Kibe from Nairobi, Kenya is a 21-year-old youth leader, social entrepreneur, business consultant, trainer, accountant and financial adviser. He is a co-founder, Chief financial officer, and trainer at SDGYA- Kenya, a non-governmental organization based in Kenya that sensitizes and trains the youth on matters of SDGs, youth, and women empowerment. Sammy also trains the youth on what SDGs are, and how they can be implemented/ facilitated. He has been able to train hundreds of youth since the adoption of SDGs in 2015.
Sammy was also the campus director of Hult prize at Kabarak and the President of Enactus at Kabarak. During his tenure, he was able to organize the best on campus Hult Prize competition ever, in that university. He also acted as a link between the university management, the competitors (students) and the Hult prize management team based in New York, USA.
He was also a business consultant, trainer, and translator at Mandala group, a social enterprise that focuses on App development. He enabled the organization to get more partnerships by introducing the organization's co-founder to various successful entrepreneurs, companies and other organizations in Kenya. With help from this organization, Sammy has also trained the less fortunate slum dwellers of Kibera, Nairobi in matters of entrepreneurship, savings, accounting, and investment.
His family and friends have been his greatest motivators and supporters in achieving all of these feats.
