Vincent Uhega is born in a family of six in Dar es Salaam– capital city of Tanzania. He attended primary school in the same region and completed standard seven and joined a secondary school. After he did with ordinary level, he joined tourism college. He started working with tourism industry based in hotels and lodges for five years in different positions. During of his work period, he took diploma of Hotel management and catering and also used his salaries to do different activities in the community for young people and he used the network he got in the hotels to share his passion about his work with the community, especially youths. Vincent attended different courses, conferences, and workshops based on community development and Youth work.

Vincent is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Voice of Youth Tanzania (VOYOTA)- a national facilitator of life skills for the Youth-based programs by the Prime Minister’s office, Department of Youth Affairs. His great interest in youth and community development has led him to a number of volunteering opportunities and community leadership roles. With more than 7 years working with local and international organizations including Meru District Council and Arusha regional commotional office all in youth department, Vision for Youth Tanzania, Africa Speak Zimbabwe, Shadow of Success Foundation, EGPAF, SOS Tanzania and MS TCDC to mention but a few, Vincent has always been able to exemplify true leadership and dedication to helping his people for better.

Vincent’s career has encompassed all levels of organizational leadership, development, and management for profit and nonprofits organizations. He has served as an Event Organizer, Public Speaker, Resource Mobilizer and National Youth Facilitator for several local and national initiatives, including Tanzania National Youth Assembly, Meru farmers’ Forum and Arusha African Film Festival. With his role in the community, Vincent has been a role model to young people and community as a whole. He has been in the East Africa Youth Leadership Summit “YouLead”, aside from other roles, Vincent was taking care of the social and entertainment aspects.
