The Rothwell Stephens Scholarship at Knox College in Mathematics awards $5,000 per year to an incoming first-year student who is interested in pursuing a degree in mathematics and has achieved an outstanding score on the scholarship examination developed by the Knox Mathematics Department.
Our alumni established the Rothwell Stephens Scholarship in honor of Rothwell Stephens, who taught at Knox from 1931 to 1976. Under Stephens’ leadership, Knox built one of the most successful mathematics programs in the Midwest.
